WELCOME TO THE PROBATE NATION®!

The underlying mission of The Probate Nation® is to serve the needs of the many lay people who take on the enormous responsibility of serving as the guardian and conservator of an aging loved one, or probating the estate of a loved one who has passed. What you will find on the pages of this site are resources and practical explanations that serve to supplement and enhance the many resources posted on the various Circuit Court, Commissioner of Accounts and other websites across Northern Virginia. Collectively these resources offer guardians, conservators, executors and administrators a road map on what they should and should not do to make their journey of service go smoothly.

But caring for an aging loved one as a guardian and handling their finances as a conservator, or administering a decedent's estate as an executor,  are each a complicated undertaking. All who serve as a guardian, conservator, executor or administrator are advised to consult with legal and tax professionals early in the process so you avoid common and often costly miscues. Nothing provided on this website offers or is intended to serve as a substitute for legal and tax advice from a duly licensed professional you have retained to represent you as guardian, or the estate you are administering as a conservator or probating as an executor.

Thank you for your service, and good luck on your journey!

WE GRATEFULLY ACKNOWLEDGE OUR GUESTS, COMMUNITY SUPPORTERS, AND EVERYONE AT FAIRFAX PUBLIC ACCESS TELEVISION FOR THEIR HELP IN LAUNCHING THE PROBATE NATION® IN 2015 AND SUPPORTING IT THROUGH  TWELVE SEASONS!
